I’m flying this

11 years ago, I sat in the cockpit for the very first time on a Trial Instructional Flight.

I still remember the nervous excitement, the way my small hands held the controls, and that incredible moment when the wheels left the ground.

I walked away from that flight wide-eyed and completely in love with aviation — but I also had no idea when, or even if, I’d get to fly again.

Life got busy. Study, work, life’s unexpected turns — flying became a dream that always lingered just out of reach. But I never let it go.

Today, that dream became real.

I passed my flight test and officially earned my Recreational Pilot’s License.

It’s hard to put into words how much this means to me. This isn’t just a tick on a bucket list — it’s the fufilment of a big goal I set over a decade ago.

I’m incredibly grateful to my instructors who guided me with patience and wisdom, and to my amazing scouts friends who’ve backed me at every stage. You believed in me when I doubted myself, and I carried your support with me on every flight.

To anyone holding onto a dream that’s taking time — don’t let go. It’s worth it.

Every early morning, every setback, every moment of doubt… it’s worth it when your wheels lift off and you realize:

I’m flying this.

And so for now, it is time to enjoy the priviliges of my RPL. Time to build some command hours in the training area.

Soon, I will embark on the next chapter – my Commercial Pilots License.
